Reportedly, he has been roped into direct Tamil star Dhanush in his next directorial outing. An official confirmation, however, on the same is awaited.

In light of the massive success of Manjummel Boys in Tamil Nadu, Chidambaram met Dhanush and expressed joy after receiving praise from him. It's said that the said project will be bankrolled by Romeo Pictures, the company that produced Valimai Nenjukku Needhi and Thunivu among others. However, nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
