Now, the recent updates suggest that Manjummel Boys has made a new record at the Tamil Nadu box office by crossing the Rs. 50 crore mark.
According to recent updates from trade experts, Manjummel Boys has now crossed the prestigious Rs. 50 crore mark at the Tamil Nadu box office. The survival thriller has now emerged as the first-ever Malayalam film in history to touch the Rs. 50 crore mark in Tamil Nadu. The movie has also surpassed the lifetime collections of Dhanush’s recent outing, Captain Miller, in the state. If things proceed at the same rate, the Chidambaram directorial might cross the Rs. 60 crore mark in Tamil Nadu within its lifetime run.
The survival thriller is now set to cross the Rs. 60 crore mark at the Kerala box office. Interestingly, Manjummel Boys has already surpassed the lifetime collections of Rajinikanth’s Jailer and Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo, the highest-grossing Tamil films at the Kerala box office. If things proceed at the same rate, Chidambaram’s film has all chances to cross even the Rs. 80 crore mark at the Kerala box office within its lifetime run in theatres.
When it comes to worldwide collections, Manjummel Boys is now gearing up to touch the Rs. 180 crore mark at the worldwide box office, mostly today (March 15, 2024), which marks its 23rd day at the theatres. In that case, it is now quite safe to say that the Chidambaram directorial is indeed set to open the Rs. 200 crore club for Malayalam cinema within its lifetime run at the release centres.
