Manjummel Boys, the recently released survival thriller helmed by Jan.E.Man fame director Chidambaram, has had a sensational start at the box office. The movie, which features a stellar star cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Deepak Parambol, Ganapathy, Arun Kurian, and others in the key roles, has made a grand opening at the box office by minting over Rs. 6.9 crore on its Day 1.
When it completed the first two days of its release, Manjummel Boys emerged as a clear winner, by minting over Rs. 15 crore at the worldwide box office. As expected, the Chidambaram directorial has performed better than its Day 1 on Day 2, thanks to the overwhelming word-of-mouth publicity and excellent reviews.

As per the recent updates from the trade experts, Manjummel Boys has made a worldwide collection of around Rs. 8.1 crore on its Day 2 alone. Even though earlier it was reported that the movie made an opening collection of over Rs. 5.5 crore on Day 1, the revised collection reports suggest that the multi-starrer has made over Rs. 6.9 crore on its release day. So, it has also been confirmed that the new surprise superhit of Malayalam cinema has crossed the Rs. 15 crore mark, in just 2 days.
A 30crore weekend opening on cards?
In that case, Manjummel Boys will easily cross the Rs. 30 crore mark at the worldwide box office, within the first weekend (4 days) of its release. The increasing audience rush and the rise in the number of screens suggest that the survival drama is indeed set to perform even better on its first Saturday and Sunday at the theaters. If things proceed at the same rate, Manjummel Boys will definitely enter the Rs. 50 crore club within its first week of release and might also cross the Rs. 100 crore mark with its lifetime run.
For the uninitiated, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Deepak Parambol, Ganapathy, Balu Varghese, Lal Jr, Arun Kurian, Khalid Rahman, and others essay the pivotal roles in the movie. Sushin Shyam composed the songs and original score. which is produced by Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony, under the banner Parava Films.
