Manjummel Boys Box Office – The survival thriller has now emerged as one the most loved Malayalam films of recent times. The movie, which is helmed by Chidambaram, has been performing extremely well at the worldwide box office, and has already emerged as the second all-time highest grosser of Malayalam cinema. When it completed the first 17 days of its release, Manjummel Boys surpassed the lifetime collections of Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan, and has touched the Rs. 140 crore mark.

The latest reports from trade experts suggest that Manjummel Boys has touched the Rs. 140 crore mark at the worldwide box office, when it completed the first 17 days of its release. Interestingly, it is also confirmed that the multi-starrer which features Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Deepak Parambol, and others in the lead roles, has surpassed the lifetime box office collection of Pulimurugan. The movie has crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark at the Kerala box office, and Rs. 33 crore mark, in Tamil Nadu.
For the uninitiated, the Mohanlal starrer helmed by Vysakh, which was released in 2016, had made a total collection of over Rs. 138.5 crore within its lifetime run at the theatres. The Chidambaram directorial has now also emerged as the second all-time highest-grossing film in the history of Malayalam cinema, just within 17 days. If things proceed at the same rate, Manjummel Boys might cross the lifetime collections of Malayalam cinema’s all-time highest-grossing film 2018, in another week.
Will Manjummel Boys cross Rs. 200 crore mark at the box office?
The trade experts now suggest that Manjummel Boys indeed has all the possibilities to cross the Rs. 200 crore mark at the worldwide box office, within its lifetime run. The massive audience rush and extraordinary word-of-mouth publicity suggest that the Chidambaram directorial will continue its successful run at the theatres for many more weeks.
The release of the Telugu version is expected to make things even better, for the film. If things fall into place, the survival thriller might emerge as the first-ever film to open the Rs. 200 crore club in the Malayalam film industry. The grapevine also suggests that the Manjummel Days OTT release might get delayed a little, as the makers are planning to stream the film only after it completes its lifetime theatrical run.
