Manjummel Days, the multi-starrer rescue thriller which features a massive star cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Deepak Parambol, Ganapathi, and others in the lead roles, hit the theatres on February 22, 2024. Despite releasing amid the ongoing issues between the Kerala Film Producers Association and FEUOK (Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala), the Chidambaram directorial is off to an extraordinary start.

As per the recent updates, Manjummel Boys has been receiving excellent responses from the audiences and made a terrific opening at the box office on its Day 1. The movie has reportedly made an opening collection of around Rs. 5.5 crore at the worldwide box office on its release day. It is clearly an excellent box office figure for a film that is not headlined by any prominent superstar of the Malayalam film industry.

Manjummel Boys Box Office Day 1 collection

According to the recent updates from trade experts, the multi-starrer has made an extraordinary opening at the Kerala box office, with a total collection that exceeded the Rs. 3 crore mark. The massive pre-release hype, which is created by the excellent official trailer and minimal yet highly effective promotional campaign, has clearly paid off. Interestingly, Manjummel Boys has reportedly made between Rs. 2.5 and 3 crore from the Rest of India and Overseas box office. It is unarguably an extraordinary start for the film, which was made with a comparatively moderate budget.

What is in store for Manjummel Boys on Day 2?

Interestingly, despite releasing amid the ongoing issues between the Kerala Film Producers’ Association and FEUOK, Manjummel Boys is now set to get a massive number of extra screens from its Day 2, thanks to the increasing audience rush. Interestingly, the theatres' owners started adding extra shows to the film right from the evening of its first day of release, thanks to the overwhelmingly good reviews.

In that case, it is safe to assume that the Chidambaram directorial is now set to register a bigger box office figure on Day 2. It has also been confirmed that a terrific weekend is on the cards for the film. If things proceed at the same rate, Manjummel Boys has all the possibilities to cross the Rs. 12 crore mark, within the first weekend (4 days) of its release.
