The techno horror-thriller has Manju, Sunny Wayne and Alencier Ley in lead roles

Manju Warrier’s Chathur Mukham, which is directed by debutants Ranjeet Kamala Sankar and Salil V, is will be in the news again this July for two reason – the Malayalam film has been selected for the 25th Bucheon International Film Festival (BIFAN), South Korea and it will also have its digital premiere on ZEE5 this month.
The makers on Wednesday shared the news of the techno horror-thriller making it to BIFAN, which is a genre film festival focusing on horror, mystery and fantasy movies. The movie was one of the 258 films that were selected from 47 countries. Manju, in a social media post, said that she was proud to know that the movie was among the only three picked from India.
Chathurmukham revolves around Manju’s character Tejaswini, a social media addict, who runs a CCTV business. Her life takes a turn when she is forced to purchase a temporary phone that unleashes a series of supernatural events. Sunny Wayne, Alencier Ley Lopez, Niranjana Anoop and Rony David play pivotal roles in the movie, which hit theatres on April 8.
Its co-director Salil told us that the film will release on ZEE5 on July 9 or 10. An official announcement from the streamer will be made soon. This will mark Manju’s second OTT release this year, after Mammootty’s supernatural thriller The Priest that is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The actress, who was shooting for her Bollywood debut with Madhavan ahead of this year's lockdown, is currently awaiting the release of Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, Ahr: Kayattam, Padavettu, Lalitham Sundaram and Jack and Jill.
