Manju Warrier's A'hr Kayattam released online, here's how to watch Sanal Kumar Sasidharan film

Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, the critically acclaimed filmmaker, had joined hands with Manju Warrier for a movie titled A'hr Kayattam, way back in 2019. Though the film was screened at film festivals, it did not enjoy a wide release in theatres. Now, the film has landed online and here's how you can watch it. 

How to watch Manju Warrier's A'hr Kayattam online

Sanal Kumar Sasidharan took to Facebook to announce that his film A'hr Kayattam, starring Manju Warrier, is available for streaming online from January 23, 2025. Along with the announcement, he shared the link of his Google Drive where viewers can watch the film. He has also attached the link for the English subtitles for the film, which was also co-produced by Manju Warrier. 

Sanal Kumar also shared that the movie was shot in 2019 on iPhone. 

A'hr Kayattam plot and other details

Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has written and directed A'hr Kayattam. Gourav Raveendran, Sujith Koyikkal, and Bhupendra Khuran are also part of the movie, which is set in the Himalayas.

The film follows a middle-aged woman as she treks to the Himalayas with a youth. The film, said to be an experimental one, delves into themes of identity and existence. 

A’hr Kayattam follows Vazhakku

Incidentally, Sanal Kumar had earlier released his film Vazhakku, starring Tovino Thomas, online, akin to A'hr Kayattam. Both A'hr Kayattam and Vazhakku have been plagued with controversies over various issues. Vazhakku, which also features Kani Kusruti, Sudev Nair and Azees Nedumangad, had won accolades at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards. However, the filmmaker and the leading man got into a spat and the film was subsequently released online.

Sanal Kumar Sasidharan shot to fame after his Ozhivudivasathe Kali bagged the Kerala State Film Award for Best Film in 2015. Some of his other notable movies are Chola, and Sexy Durga, the latter of which had also run into controversies.
