Manju Warrier joins Ajith Kumar for an adventure trip during a break from the schedule of AK 61

The shooting of H Vinoth's AK 61 (tentative title), starring Ajith in the lead, has been going on at a brisk pace. The team was filming a crucial sequence in a hill station near Vizag a few weeks ago. Now, a few pictures of Ajith touring in Ladakh on his bike have been doing the rounds on social media.

It looks like the actor isn't part of the ongoing schedule. Interestingly, Manju Warrier, who plays the female lead in the project, has also joined Ajith for the adventure trip. The actress' pictures, too, are all over the internet and fans are going gaga over them. She has also taken to Twitter to thank Ajith for the unique experience.

Meanwhile, fans of Ajith and other movie buffs are eagerly awaiting an update on AK 61. Though it is heard that makers have fixed a title for the film, a confirmation is awaited on the same. The project brings together Ajith, director Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor for the third time after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai.

Though AK 61 was announced as a release for Deepavali festival, it looks like the makers' plan is to release the movie in December. There are rumours about the film having a clash with Vijay-starrer Varisu for the Pongal festival in January.

Billed as a heist thriller, a lion's share of the film's shooting happened in Hyderabad. Ghibran has been composing music for the film which has cinematography by Nirav Shah. Veera and Kavin among others will be seen essaying crucial roles in the movie.

Ajith will be joining Vignesh Shivan's untitled movie soon after he wraps up AK 61. Lyca Productions will be bankrolling the film which will have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
