Recently, we reported on actor Manikandan's upcoming film which has been titled Kudumbasthan. The makers had released the first look poster of the film on social media on Saturday. Now, the team has revealed the plot of the film, with the shooting for the film completed. A release date is yet to be announced,
Actor Manikandan, who was last seen in this year’s film Lover, has announced a new project. It has been titled Kudumbasthan. The first-look poster showed multiple versions of Manikandan, who sport different expressions and in between different activities with roller skates on. The title translates to a family man. The film is directed by filmmaker Rajeshwar Kalisamy.
Speaking about the plot of Kudumbasthan, the director revealed that the film will be set against the backdrop of Coimbatore. The film will revolve around the journey of a newlywed couple. Laced with humour, Kudumbasthan will be a story about the challenges faced by the husband and his adventures. The shooting of the film has been already wrapped up, and preparations on full swing to release the film soon.
The film is directed by Rajeshwar Kalisamy who penned the script and screenplay along with Prasanna Balachandran. The latter has also written the dialogues. The technical crew consists of Vaisagh scoring the music and Kannan Balu as editor. Sujith N Subramaniam is the cinematographer.
Apart from Manikandan, the film also stars actors Saannve Megghana, Guru Somasundaram, director R Sundarajan, Prasanna Balachandran, Kanakamma of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey fame, Jenson Diwakar, and others playing prominent roles. A release date for Kudumbasthan is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Manikandan was last seen in Lover. The film is a romantic drama and is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Lover stars Manikandan and Sri Gouri Priya in the lead roles, and opened to positive reception upon its release.
