Mohanlal, Shobana, and Suresh Gopi revealed the long-awaited remastered trailer of Manichithrathazhu on social media on Sunday, August 11, 2024. “Presenting the official trailer of Malayalam’s timeless classic, Manichitrathazhu,” wrote the Malayalam superstar. The extremely well-designed new teaser of the 31-year-old classic film provides glimpses of the Madampilli mansion, its members who deeply believe in the tragic story of Tamil dancer Nagavalli, the newly-married Nakulan and Ganga, and Dr. Sunny.

The 2.38-minute-long trailer of the Manichithrathazhu 4K version begins with the iconic narration of legendary actor Nedumudi Venu, who explains the rules of the Madampilli mansion. Later, the trailer introduces the iconic characters of Fazil and Madhu Muttam’s world, including Dr. Sunny played by Mohanlal, Nakulan and Ganga, played by Suresh Gopi and Shobana, and much-loved supporting characters Thambi (Nedumudi Venu), Unnithan (Innocent), Bhasura Kunjamma (KPAC Lalitha), Sridevi (Vinaya Prasad), Kattuparamban (Kuthiravattam Pappu), Dasappan Kutty (KB Ganesh Kumar), Alli (Rudra), Chandu (Sudheesh), Prof. Mahadevan (Sridhar) and many others.

The stunning audio and visual quality of the Manichithrathazhu 4K trailer ensures that the young audience, who missed the memorable theatrical experience back in 1993, will finally get a chance to witness the magic of Fazil’s film in all its glory. The trailer, notably, looks far better than the re-release teaser, which was revealed a few days back. The team is reportedly planning to release all the Manichithrathazhu songs in 4K remastered versions on social media, very soon.
