Mani Ratnam invites Bharathiraja for Ponniyin Selvan 2's audio launch, pic of the legendary duo goes viral

Though an official announcement on the audio launch of Ponniyin Selvan 2 is awaited, it is more or less confirmed that the star-studded event will happen on March 26. The makers will be unveiling the first single on Monday, and the other songs are expected to be out soon.

Fans are curious to know whether makers have plans to release promo videos of the movie at the event. The movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam on April 28. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were chief guests of the audio launch of Ponniyin Selvan 1.

Cinephiles are eager to know if the two stars would turn up this time as well. Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies have bankrolled the project which is expected to rake in huge figures on day one across south India. The first installment of the project had grossed more than 500 crores.

Movie buffs opine that the second installment would collect more numbers, provided it has more engaging sequences and action-packed emotions. AR Rahman's background score is expected to be one of the highlights this time, too, apart from Ravivarman's visuals and Thota Tharani's production design.

It looks like Mani Ratnam has begun inviting people for the audio launch. He visited Bharathiraja at his home and officially requested him to grace the event. The latter welcomed the former and expressed interest in attending the function. A picture of the two legendary filmmakers posing for a photo has been doing the rounds on social media.

Kollywood fans are looking forward to the maverick filmmaker visiting Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in the coming days. They can't wait to know what surprises makers have planned for the audio event this time.
