Mangalavaaram OTT release date - Here's when the Payal Rajput starrer will make its digital premiere

Payal Rajput's Mangalavaaram ended as an above-average fare at the box office and we at OTTplay have already reported that Disney+ Hotstar has bagged the OTT rights to the film. A few days ago, we also reported that Mangalavaaram is expected to stream from December 22, 2023, onwards.

But things have changed at the last minute and now the suspense thriller will be out on December 26, 2023, on Hotstar. The digital rights have been sold for Rs 9 crore and this is a big number considering the star cast and budget of the film. The satellite rights of Managalavaaram have been bagged by Star Maa for a fancy price.

Initially, Aha was supposed to grab the rights and the deal was almost locked. But at the last minute, Hotstar came into the picture and closed the deal. The village drama is directed by Ajay Bhupathi of RX 100 and Maha Samudram fame. The entire film is shot in a small village and most of the drama takes place at night and that too on Tuesdays, which is the twist in the film.

Payal Rajput plays a very bold role in the film and her performance was shocking to one and all. With Mangalavaaram, she has made a strong comeback to Telugu cinema. Ajay Bhupathi was the one who introduced her to Tollywood with RX100. The film was a massive hit but since then, none of Payal's films have been hits. So, to make a comeback, she has once again joined hands with Rx100 director Ajay Bhupathi and he has given Payal a much-needed respite in her career with the success of Mangalavaaram.

Ajay Ghosh and Krishna Chaitanya played key roles in this film, which had music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. Priyadarshi was seen in a special role in this film and his character was kept in suspense for the audience. Ajaneesh Loknath's BGM was also a talking point all over.
