Director Maruthi, who has created a name for himself with wacky comedy entertainers like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, Mahanubhavudu, Sailaja Reddy Alludu, Ee Rojullo to name a few, is back in action with Manchi Rojulochaie. Originally conceived as a web film, the project featuring Santosh Shobhan, Mehreen Pirzada in the roles is now slated to hit theatres for Diwali on November 4. Produced by SKN and V Celluloid, the film has managed to make some noise among the public with its entertaining trailer and Anup Rubens' music recently. The film has now been certified U/A by the CBFC today.
Sharing the news, the production house from its social media handle had posted, "#ManchiRojulochaie got censored U/A ๐โจ Celebrate this Diwali with your friends & family on Nov 4th in theatres ๐ฅ๐ @DirectorMaruthi @santoshshobhan @Mehreenpirzada @anuprubens @vcelluloidsoffl @SKNonline @UVConcepts_ @massmoviemakers @adityamusic #ManchiRojulochaieOnNov4." Vennela Kishore, Sapthagiri, Viva Harsha, Srinivas Reddy, Sudharshan, Ajay Ghosh, and Praveen essay supporting roles in this light-hearted entertainer.
Three songs from the film have released already, including the chirpy title track, a melody So So Ga, a dance number Ekkesinde, all belonging to different musical styles and managing to grab the attention of listeners. Audiences have been craving a full-fledged entertainer since the reopening of theatres after the second lockdown owing to the pandemic and Manchi Rojulochaie could well fill that void. The film, despite having to compete with Rajinikanth's Peddanna and Vishal's Enemy, has the distinct advantage of being the only straight Telugu release for Diwali.
Sai Sriram is the cinematographer for Manchi Rojulochaie, whose filming was wrapped before the second wave of the pandemic. Telugu OTT platform aha will host the digital premiere this film a few weeks after the theatrical release. The lead actor Santosh Shobhan's last project was the web show The Baker and the Beauty on aha, which managed to impress audiences and critics alike. Mehreen has already teamed up with Maruthi for Mahanubhuvudu in the past and will also be seen in F3 in 2022.
