Manasi Sinha made an instant success with her directorial debut, Eta Amader Golpo. Now, the actress-turn-director is all set with her next, 5 No Swapnomoy Lane. Produced by Suvankar Mitra of Dhagaa Productions, the film is set for a Christmas release on December 20.
The film boasts a stellar cast, including Kharaj Mukherji, Aparajita Adhya, Chandan Sen, Arjun Chakraborty, Awnesha Hazra, Payel Mukherjee, Sayan Surjya, and more. The story follows two cousins on an emotional journey to reclaim their ancestral home, overcoming seemingly insurmountable challenges with the support of a dedicated doctor, a clever lawyer, and their loving partners. This heartwarming tale spans generations, blending the nostalgia of the past with the energy of the present, delivering a cinematic experience rich in warmth and relatability.
Talking about the film, Manasi said, “I truly believe that a compelling story is the true hero or heroine of any film. Audiences still come to the theaters for the love of a good story, and I witnessed this firsthand with the warm reception to my recent film, Eta Amader Golpo. My team and I are confident that viewers who appreciate strong content will embrace our latest film, 5 no Swapnamoy Lane, with the same affection.”
This will be Aparajita’s second collaboration with Manasi. She said, “The film marks my second collaboration with Manasi Sinha and Dhagaa Productions. In today’s fast-paced world, we often lose touch with relationships, homes, and our desires, constantly chasing the idea of a happy, fulfilled life. But more often than not, life passes us by as we remain caught in that pursuit. This film tells a heartwarming story of how we can find true contentment by keeping our loved ones close and nurturing the love that sustains us. I am very optimistic that Manasi’s work will resonate with many, and I hope the audience embraces it with the same abundant love.”
