The filmmaker adds depth to this documentary with his in-depth research about the tall baobabs (trees) of Madagascar. He delves deep into the remote forests of Madagascar and the life-saving giants called Baobabs, which serve as the inspiration for this documentary.

The docufilm is set in the arid Mahafaly plateau of southwest Madagascar and traces the lives of a primitive population called Mamody. This generation practices an ancient technique of water conservation by carving out magnificent baobab trees to create life-sustaining water reservoirs by using hollow parts as a water tank. When rain is scarce and the condition of the drought worsens, Mamody's knowledge bridges the gap between the village's past and its dubious future.
