Mammootty’s Turbo teaser to hit the theatres with Bramayugam? Here’s what we know

Mammootty is reuniting with director Vysakh after a long gap of 5 years, for the upcoming project, Turbo. The movie, which is touted to be a mass action thriller, features the megastar as the titular character, Turbo Jose. As per the latest updates, the highly anticipated project which is penned by writer-director Midhun Manuel Thomas, is currently nearing the final stages of its production. The makers are now set to release the much-awaited Turbo Teaser, by the third week of February 2024.

Turbo teaser to release with Mammootty’s Bramayugam

If the latest reports are to be believed, the official teaser of Mammootty and Vysakh’s ambitious project is gearing up to hit the screens soon. Interestingly, the makers are reportedly planning to attach the Turbo teaser with Bramayugam. The upcoming horror thriller that stars the megastar in the lead role, has been slated to hit the big screens on February 15, 2024, Thursday.

In that case, the audiences, who are set to watch the Rahul Sadasivan directorial in theatres, will also have a chance to watch a glimpse of the veteran actor’s Turbo Jose avatar. The grapevine also suggests that the Turbo teaser might get released on social media on the same day, or a day prior to its theatrical release. However, none of these reports have been confirmed by the makers, so far.

Turbo to release in May 2024?

Earlier, in an interview with a leading Malayalam media, scriptwriter Midhun Manuel Thomas confirmed that the team planning to release Turbo in May 2024. Now, the latest updates suggest that the team is planning to wrap up the final scheduled shoot of the Mammootty starrer in February, after which they will immediately begin the post-production works. However, the official release date of the Vysakh directorial is not finalized yet.

Turbo features Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty, Telugu actor Sunil, Antony Varghese, and others in pivotal roles. Vishnu Sarma is the director of photography. Justin Varghese composes the songs and original score. Shameer Muhammed handles the editing. Shajie Naduvil handles the production design. Turbo is bankrolled by Mammootty himself, under his home banner Mammootty Kampany.
