Veteran Malayalam actor Babu Antony, known for his action avatar in the 90s, will once again be seen in the role of an antagonist in debutant filmmaker Deeno Dennis' Mammootty-starrer Bazooka, as per reports.
In the movie, which has already completed one schedule, the actor will reportedly be seen in a high-octane fight sequence with the megastar. The actor, who was recently seen in Ponniyin Selvan: II and Madanolsavam, had recently confirmed that he is part of the film and had expressed his gratitude to the makers too.
Bazooka has already caught the attention of the audience after the makers had released its first look poster featuring Mammootty in a stylish avatar. While the title poster had Mammootty facing several snipers, the recently-released first look featured him in slick avatar, taking the wraps off a bike.
Touted to be the first-ever game thriller in Malayalam, Bazooka is directed by debutant Deeno Dennis, son of veteran scriptwriter Kaloor Dennis. Bazooka has Nimish Ravi as its cinematographer, while Nishadh Yusuf is in charge of the editing department. Midhun Mukundan, who is known for his work in Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana and Rorschach, is composing the songs for this Mammootty starrer.
Along with Mammootty, Tamil filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon also plays a pivotal role in the film. Neeta Pillai, who had previously starred in Suresh Gopi’s Paapan, plays the female lead in Bazooka.
Meanwhile, Mammootty has also wrapped up the shoot of Kannur Squad and is gearing up for the release of Kaathal: The Core, which has Tamil actress Jyothika as the female lead.
