Mammootty, the veteran actor, has stunned both his fans and cine-goers with his extraordinary post-COVID filmography. The megastar, who is now going through the most exciting phase of his acting career so far, is currently on a high with the massive success of his latest outing, Bramayugam. The period horror thriller, which is helmed by talented filmmaker Rahul Sadasivan, has pushed all the creative boundaries of Malayalam cinema and has now emerged as a massive blockbuster.
In a recent interview with Filmibeat Malayalam, Bramayugam team members extensively spoke about the making of their blockbuster film. Director Rahul also opened up about leading man Mammootty’s immense contribution to the film and revealed that the megastar never took a break during the shoot.
According to director Rahul Sadasivan, Mammootty was completely dedicated to Bramayugam and never took a break during the shooting of the film. The megastar, who has always been concerned about the efforts that went into making the film, did not take a break even when his younger sister, Ameena, passed away. The veteran actor, who joined his family for his sister’s last rites, immediately joined the sets of the film, surprising director Rahul and his team, who were considering a schedule break.
The filmmaker and actor-director Sidharth Bharathan, who is Mammootty’s co-star in Bramayugam, added that it was extremely exciting to witness the immense passion the veteran actor has for films. In the interview, it was also added that the megastar is deeply concerned about the efforts put into the project by the rest of the cast and crew, which are unmatched.

For the uninitiated, Mammootty played the role of Kodumon Potti, a member of an aristocratic Brahmin family who lived in the 17th century, in Bramayugam. The multiple National award-winner stunned the audiences with his unparalleled transformation as the evil character beyond redemption in the Rahul Sadasivan directorial. As always, the veteran actor also experimented with his voice acting like no other in the film, and even dubbed in all five language versions of the film, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
