Mammootty, Nayanthara in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Malayalam directorial debut?

Mammootty is currently on a signing spree and has some highly promising projects in his kitty. After the massive release of his action-comedy film Turbo, the megastar will be next seen in the upcoming stylish action flick, Bazooka. The movie also marks the veteran actor’s first onscreen collaboration with Gautham Vasudev Menon, the filmmaker-actor who is playing a key role in it. Interestingly, Mammootty and GVM are reportedly set to join hands yet again, but this time for the latter’s most-awaited Malayalam directorial debut.

Mammootty in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s next?

If the recent reports are to be believed, Gautham Vasudev Menon is finally gearing up to make his directorial debut in Malayalam cinema. The much-loved senior filmmaker, who is best known for his stylish action films and love stories, is gearing up to make a film in Malayalam, after completing 23 years in the film industry. The recent updates on film industry analyst Christopher Kanagaraj's Twitter handle suggest that Mammootty is set to play the lead role in Gautham Menon’s maiden venture in Malayalam cinema. According to the report, an official confirmed on the project is expected to be out very soon.

Some unconfirmed reports also suggest that the project is bankrolled by the megastar himself, under his home banner Mammootty Kampany. As per the reports, the rumourmills suggest that GVM already narrated a script to the megastar and the latter is very impressed with it. If this collaboration is happening for real, the actor-director duo’s upcoming project is going to be one of the most anticipated films from Malayalam cinema, in 2025. However, both Mammootty and Gautham Vasudev Menon have not officially confirmed these reports yet.

Nayanthara to reunite with Mammootty for Gautham Menon’s film?

The rumourmills also suggest that Nayanthara, the lady superstar of South cinema has been approached to play the female lead in Mammootty and Gautham Vasudev Menon’s untitled film. If the Jawan actress comes on board for the film, it will mark her onscreen reunion with the megastar after a long gap of over 8 years. If the reports are to be believed, Mammootty, Gautham Menon, and the team are planning to officially launch the highly anticipated project with a special announcement poster, very soon.
