The web series, which stars a massive star cast including Mammootty, Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy Thiruvothu, and others, is based on 9 short stories penned by the legendary writer. The Manorathangal trailer was recently launched at a grand ceremony in Kochi. The legend, who turned 91 on Monday, July 15, 2024, also celebrated his birthday at the grand event held in Kochi, in the presence of Mammootty, director Priyadarshan, and other cast and crew members of the film. Amidst the celebrations, the veteran writer shared an emotional moment with the megastar, who has been his frequent collaborator and disciple, ever since the latter made his acting debut.
After cutting his birthday cake, MT Vasudevan Nair, who turned emotional, was seen sharing a warm hug with Mammootty who was standing beside him. The legendary writer-actor duo’s precious moment won the hearts of Malayalam literature and cinema lovers, and is now going viral on social media.
