Mammootty-Gautham Vasudev Menon film update: The second schedule to start rolling in this location?

Mammootty is currently on a signing spree and has an exciting line-up of upcoming projects in his kitty. The megastar is teaming up with director Gautham Vasudev Menon, for the latter’s long-awaited Malayalam directorial debut. The untitled film, which is touted to be a crime drama, started rolling in Kochi in July 2024. As per the recent updates, Mammootty and Gautham Menon recently wrapped up the Kochi schedule of the film, and are now planning to move to Munnar, to film the pending portions.

Mammootty, Gautham Vasudev Menon to kickstart the second schedule soon

If the recent updates are to be believed, the actor-director duo is yet to wrap up the filming of their untitled project, with the Kochi schedule. Reportedly, Mammootty and Gautham Vasudev Menon are planning to film the pending portions of the film in Munnar, Kerala, after a quick schedule break. Unlike the Kochi schedule, which lasted for over two months, the Munnar schedule of the film is expected to be a brief one, which will be wrapped up in less than two weeks.

Mammootty’s special treat for Gautham Vasudev Menon and team

As always, the megastar followed his tradition of treating his cast and crew special Malabari Biryani, even on the sets of Gautham Vasudev Menon’s untitled film. As per the reports, Mammootty and his team invited a renowned biryani chef to the location on the last day of the shoot, to prepare authentic Malabari biryani for the entire team. Some location videos from the sets of the film, in which the megastar is serving biryani to the director and his team, are now going viral on social media.

Mammootty is reportedly playing a private investigator in the film, which stars Gokul Suresh, Lenaa, Viji Venkatesh, in the supporting roles. Darbuka Siva is reportedly making his Malayalam debut, as the music composer of the project. Vishnu Dev handles the cinematography, and Anthony handles the editing, respectively. The much-awaited project is bankrolled by Mammootty’s home banner, Mammootty Kampany.
