If the recent updates are to be believed, Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse is not getting a wide release in Kerala, on January 23, 2025. According to the grapevine, the Mammootty starrer will be released in limited screens across the state, due to the unavailability of screens. The other January 2025 releases, including Asif Ali starrer Rekhachithram, has been performing extremely well in theatres. The recent reports suggest that this is the reason behind the Gautham Vasudev Menon film’s limited release.

However, things might change for Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse after the initial shows, if the film succeeds in impressing the audiences. If the Mammootty starrer receives positive reviews from both the viewers, there are high chances for the film to get additional shows across Kerala, right from the evening of its release day. However, the experimental nature of the film encouraged the makers to reduce the screen count, for its initial shows.

All about Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse

As reported earlier, Mammootty play the titular character Dominic, a former circle inspector who was dismissed from the police force due to his hidden color blindness, in the Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial. He leads a lonely and miserable life after his divorce, and is even unable to pay his old landlady. However, Dominic’s life takes a big turn after he starts a private detective agency, and investigates a mysterious case that involves a ladies’ purse.

Gokul Suresh, Lenaa, Viji Venkatesh, and others essay the supporting roles in the film. Darbuka Siva, the popular musician is making his Malayalam cinema debut, composing the songs and the original score for Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse. Vishnu R Dev and Anthony handle the editing, respectively. The project is bankrolled by Mammootty’s home banner, Mammootty Kampany.
