Mallika Sherawat addresses her past rift with Murder co-star Emraan Hashmi: 'People gave wrong advice...'

Mallika Sherawat recently made her comeback on the big screen with the Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri. Her on-screen chemistry with Emraan Hashmi used to be one of the most talked about topics. In a new interview, Mallika addressed her past rift with Hashmi and added that there is no bad blood between her and him. She also called him a 'wonderful' person.

Mallika Sherawat calls past rift with Emraan Hashmi 'childish'

In a new interview with India Today, Mallika Sherawat recalled her past fallout with Emraan Hashmi. The duo starred together in Anurag Basu’s Murder and their steamy on-screen chemistry took the box office by storm and is still fresh in everyone’s mind. However, soon after they had an unexpected fallout which went on for over two decades.

Addressing the same, Mallika told the portal, "It was childish. Emraan is a wonderful person. He is a real gem of a person. That time we were young, egos came in between, people gave wrong advice, people fill your ears, so all of that kind of played a part, but I am so glad all of that is now in the past. I would love to work with him again."

Sherawat also said that she did not have any particular chat with Emraan but is hopeful for someone to offer them a film together. When asked if she would like to reunite with Emraan, the actress answered, “Absolutely.” The actress also mentioned that she would love to do a film like Murder. 

“I would love to do a film like Murder again. [Mukesh Bhatt] Bhatt sahab, are you listening?” Mallika told the portal. 

“No, we didn’t speak about that, but hopefully somebody will come up with a good script for us,” she added. 

All about the feud of Mallika Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi

The fuss began at one of the earlier episodes of Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan a few months after the release of Murder. The episode was graced by Emraan Hashmi and Mahesh Bhatt graced the show. When asked to name the ‘worst kisser’ on the show, the Tiger 3 actor named Mallika. On being asked what’s the one thing that he will find in the actress’ bedroom, Hashmi said, ‘An idiot’s handbook to succeed in Hollywood’.

On the other hand, Mallika Sherawat had said in an interview right after that even the snake she kissed in Hisss was a much better kisser than Emraan.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Mallika was recently seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. On the other hand, Pinkvilla reported that Neeraj Pandey is currently making a series for the OTT platform Netflix and he might cast Emraan Hashmi for the same.
