Malli Pelli release date: When and where to watch Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh’s film directed by MS Raju

Veteran actor Naresh, who recently completed 50 years in Telugu cinema and got hitched to actress Pavitra Lokesh this year, is teaming up with his better half for a film. Titled Malli Pelli, the drama, written and directed by popular producer MS Raju also stars Jayasudha, Sarathbabu, Vanitha Vijayakumar, Ananya Nagalla and Roshan in key roles. The film’s release date was announced today.

Malli Pelli will hit screens across the globe on May 26. The film, which also has a Kannada version titled Matthe Madhuve, is expected to release on the same today. Naresh, besides acting, is also bankrolling the film under the renowned banner Vijaya Krishna Movies. The teaser of the film created ripples recently, scoring over six million views organically on Youtube.

The film has generated interest among crowds for its sensationalism besides the fact that it is based on Naresh’s real-life drama surrounding his marriage with Pavitra Lokesh and ex-wife Ramya Raghupathi. Vanitha Vijayakumar plays the role modelled on Naresh’s former wife. Ravivarma, Annapoorna, Bhadram, Yukta, Praveen Yandamuri, and Madhoo are also part of the cast.

In a new poster, the celebrity couple Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh are locked in an embrace. Suresh Bobbili and Aruldev have come on board for the songs and the background score of the bilingual. MN Bal Reddy is the cinematographer while Junaid Siddique is the editor. Bhaskar Mudavath is the production designer and Ananta Sriram is the sole lyricist for the album.

Naresh will also be seen in another summer release - Anni Manchi Sakunamule - the Nandini Reddy directorial that hits screens on May 18. The actor and Pavitra Lokesh earlier came together for films like Ramarao on Duty, Telisinavallu, Sammohanam, Middle Class Abbayi, Andaru Bagundali Andulo Nenundali and Happy Wedding to name a few.
