Malli Pelli on OTT: Amazon Prime holds the digital release of the Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh starrer, deets inside

Malli Pelli featuring Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh was one of the most controversial films in recent times as it dealt with the real-life relationship between Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh who are in a live-in relationship as of now. Amazon Prime Video bought the streaming rights of the film for a fancy price and was supposed to stream the family drama from June 23, 2023.

As per the update, Malli Pelli is not streaming on Prime Video disappointing several movie lovers. Aha, the Telugu OTT platform has also bagged the streaming rights, and interestingly, Malli Pelli is streaming on Aha from the 23rd of June. But what has promoted Prime Video to hold the streaming of Malli Pelli? This is the biggest question that is being posed by one and all.

Sometime back, Naresh's third wife approached the court of law addressing both Prime Video and Aha to stop the screening of the film. Aha has not paid heed to it and is now streaming the film. Is Prime Video handling things in a legal manner or will release the film at an advanced stage is a big suspense as of now. 

Malli Pelli is the biopic of Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh and was directed by MS Raju. The film was released on May 6, 2023, and ended as a below-average fare at the box office. In Malli Pelli, Naresh plays a film star who falls in love with his co-star played by Pavitra Lokesh. MS Raju showcased the drama in a gritty manner in this film which also had Jayasudha in a key role. 

Malli Pelli was also quite special as it was the late Sarath Babu's last film of his career. He passed away just days before the release. The film's promotions were carried out in a bold manner as both Naresh and Pavitra gave controversial statements about their relationship in all their interviews.
