Recent reports state that Malayalam films are among the top ones currently showing in UAE theatres. Parvathy Thiruvothu and Urvashi's Ullozhukku is ranked seventh, while Gaganachari, starring Anarkali Marikar, Gokul Suresh, and Aju Varghese, is in the ninth place.
Meanwhile, Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD tops the list, followed by A Quiet Place Day One and Inside Out 2. Jatt and Juliet 3, The Garfield Movie and Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes are also among the list of films with huge rush in theatres in the UAE.
Ullozhukku, Gaganachari receiving positive response in the UAE
One week after debuting on Kerala's big screens on June 21, both films had their theatrical releases in these countries on June 27. After Ullozhukku opened in theatres, the public enthusiastically acclaimed the film, praising both Urvashi and Parvathy Thiruvothu's performances as well as Christo Tomy's direction.
Even though it may not be to everyone's taste, Arun Chandu's Gaganachari is intriguing to see on a big screen because of its adept direction and portrayal of the subject matter at hand.
Kalki 2898 AD surpasses Inside Out 2’s rush in theatres
The epic sci-fi movie Kalki 2898 AD, which stars Prabhas in the title role, is playing well in theatres and bringing large audiences to the United Arab Emirates' theatres. It has outpaced animation film Inside Out 2's box office success in the country. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin and available in five languages worldwide, is doing incredibly well in India and other countries.
The film's makers have not organised any significant post-release marketing. Since there was so much excitement surrounding Kalki 2898 AD after its premiere, they were confident from the start that it did not need extensive marketing. Given how well it is doing at the box office, Kalki 2898 AD is currently among the top ten Telugu films of all time and is almost certain to finish in the top three.
