Malaikottai Vaaliban plot revealed – Mohanlal to play an uncontested warrior in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s period action drama

Mohanlal, the Malayalam superstar is joining hands with the celebrated filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery, for his upcoming project Malaikottai Vaaliban. The movie, which is touted to be a period action drama, is slated to hit the theatres on January 25, 2024. From the first glimpse and official teaser videos which went viral on social media, it was revealed that Mohanlal is set to play a never-seen-before character in Malaikottai Vaaliban. Now, the sources close to the project have finally revealed the plot of the film.

Malaikottai Vaaliban plot is revealed

The makers of the Malaikottai Vaaliban confirmed that the Mohanlal starrer is releasing on January 25, 2024, as planned, thus putting an end to speculations on the film getting postponed. Along with the promising poster that confirmed the release date yet again, the team also dropped an official synopsis of the movie, which is now going viral on social media. From the plot, it is evident that a unique cinematic experience is on the cards for the Malayalam cinema audiences.

According to the post which is now doing rounds on the internet, Malaikottai Vaaliban revolves around the titular character played by Mohanlal, who is an ‘uncontested’ warrior who proved himself as a reigning hero across timelines and geographies. He is always accompanied by his aids, Chinnappaiyyan and Ayyanar. However, things take a different turn after Vaaliban meets Rangapattinam Rangarani, an ethereal beauty who is famous for her dancing skills. Around the same time, he also encounters Chamathakan, the antagonist who follows Vaaliban throughout his journey, and leads the hero to his ultimate challenge.

As Mohanlal suggested in his recent interviews, Malaikottai Vaaliban is not set in a particular timeline or geography, which makes it a unique cinematic experiment. The movie is expected to feature some high voltage action sequences featuring Mohanlal. From the Malaikottai Vaaliban plot, it is evident that Lijo Jose Pellissery has created one of the most unique projects in the illustrious career of its leading man.

Malaikottai Vaaliban – Cast and Crew

Mohanlal is playing the titular character Vaaliban in the movie, which stars Sonalee Kulkarni, Andrea Ravera, Danish Sait, Hareesh Peradi, Manikandan R Achari, Katha Nandi, Rajeev Pillai and others, in key roles. The Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial is penned by PS Rafeeque. Madhu Neelakandan is the director of photography, Prashant Pillai has composed songs and the original score, and Deepu S Joseph has handled the editing of the Mohanlal starrer. Malaikottai Vaaliban is jointly produced by John & Mary Creative, Century Films, Maxlab Cinemas, Yoodle Films, and Amen Movie Monastery.
