Malaikottai Vaaliban: Mohanlal-starrer’s release date to be announced along with its first poster on Vishu?

This Vishu is special for a lot of reasons for Mohanlal fans, especially those awaiting an update from his latest movie Malaikottai Vaaliban. While the makers have promised the first look poster from Lijo Jose Pellissery’s directorial on April 14, we hear that the team could also announce the release date of the much-anticipated big-budget film.

The team, last week, had wrapped up its first schedule in Rajasthan after over three months of shoot in Jaisalmer and Pokhran. Lijo thanked the crew for making this task of mounting such a film, despite all the challenges in terms of logistics and shoot in the desert towns, possible.

Malaikottai Vaaliban team is now expected to begin the second schedule by May 10 in Chennai. In between, Mohanlal was slated to travel to Tunisia to wrap up a few portions from his movie Ram, which is helmed by Jeethu Joseph. The Drishyam filmmaker is already in the African country wrapping up these portions and also has another schedule in the UK planned. We now hear that Mohanlal has prioritised completing Malaikottai Vaaliban before he resumes work on Ram, as shooting in the UK will also require the team to reapply for permissions.

The upcoming schedule of Malaikottai Vaaliban will also have Mohanlal in another get-up from the one that he had shot in Rajasthan. These portions will also have Marathi actress Sonalee Kulkarni and Bengali actress Katha Nandi, who was seen in Kathir’s Thalaikoothal, as part of the cast. Kannada actor Danish Sait will also be making his Malayalam debut with the movie.

The period drama, which has Mohanlal essaying the role of a wrestler, is touted to be a period drama that has a lot of intense action scenes as part of it. As per reports, the makers are planning a Vishu 2024 release for the movie and could also reveal this along with the upcoming poster.
