Malaika Arora's father Anil Arora dies by suicide, reason unknown

Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora's father Anil Arora reportedly died by suicide on September 11, 2024. According to the latest reports, her father jumped from the third floor of their Bandra house. The reason behind taking this extreme step is unknown.

If reports are to be believed, Malaika has left for Mumbai since she was in Pune when this heartbreaking incident occurred. ABP News reported that Anil Arora jumped off the building around 9 am today. More details are awaited. The report also suggests that the mortal remains of Malaika's father have been kept in Baba Hospital.

Mumbai Police release statement

A while ago, ANI took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared an update with the media. Mumbai Police said, "Father of actress-model Malaika Arora died by suicide by jumping off a terrace. Police team is present at the spot."

Meanwhile, soon after the tragic news was out, Malaika's ex-husband Arbaaz Khan was seen rushing to her parents' house. Netizens expressed shock as soon as the news surfaced. One of the users wrote, "Omg so sad rest in peace." Another user wrote, "Om Shanti." Others were seen offering condolences to the family.

Malaika and Amrita's mother, Joyce Polycarp, is a Malayali Christian, and their father, Anil Arora, was a Punjabi. He worked in the Indian Merchant Navy. Recently, in an interview, Malaika spoke about her parents' separation when she was just 11. She admitted that her childhood was 'wonderful' but not 'easy'. She shared, "My parents' separation allowed me to observe my mother through a new lens."
