Malaika Arora pens a heartfelt note on social media for THIS REASON

The day and date of April 2 last year was nothing less than traumatic for the ‘Chaiyaa Chaiyya’ lady Malaika Arora . The reason? For the unversed, this was the day and date when Malaika Arora met with an accident when her vehicle (Range Rover) was caught in a three-vehicle pile-up while she was returning from Pune to Mumbai. The incident, which had taken place in Khopoli (outskirts of Mumbai) led to Malaika sustaining minor injuries. Following which, Malaika Arora was taken to the nearby hospital. And after being treated upon, she was discharged from the hospital the following day. In an earlier interview with Mid Day, Malaika Arora had said that the incident was something that she wanted to neither remember nor was something that she could forget. She added that, even though she was physically recovering, mentally, she felt that it didn’t go away completely. She also expressed that, whenever if she was a watching a movie that depicted an accident or showed blood, she got flashes that sent shivers down her spine. But, she was confident that, she would eventually be able to move past it.

And yesterday, a super confident Malaika Arora decided to let the bygones be bygones and erase the past memory of the traumatic incident by taking to social media. She shared a video which was a collage of all the happy moments of her life; including her posing with Karan Johar, chilling with her pet dog, memorable moments spent with her sister Amrita, her attending an event with Arjun Kapoor, her stand-up show and many others. The ‘icing’ on the cake was in the form of a car stunt scene from her show ‘Moving In With Malaika’ in which she shatters and breaks the glass wall with her car and emerges victorious. This victory was definitely symbolic of her conquering and overcoming her fear post the accident.

Malaika Arora captioned the post stating, “A second chance at life...another dance with life! One year since my accident ,yet one year of sheer gratitude in my heart for this magic called life! While it took me some time to overcome what had happened with me, the second chance that i got itself supersedes any shred of fear or shock left in my heart. Today, as I look back upon this day after a year, i just feel happy and content about where i am today. Love and light to everyone who’s dealing with a difficult situation in life right now. Always remember, it will get better! #gratitude”
