Sathish Selvakumar's Bachelor, starring GV Prakash and Divyabharathi in lead roles, had a theatrical release on December 3. The movie opened to mixed reviews, though a section of the audience quite liked it. On the 25th day of its release, today, the makers have come up with an announcement on its OTT premiere.

According to a social media post put up by the film's production house, the movie will start streaming on SonyLIV soon. It is expected that the details regarding the date will be announced soon. The tweet read, "We are listening to your requests! #Bachelor will be streaming on @SonyLIV real soon #BlockbusterBachelor (sic)."

Sathish, too, took to Twitter to thank the audience on the film having completed 25th day in theatres. The movie was earlier in the news when veteran director Bharathiraja showered praise for the bold content it dealt with. He was all praise for the performances of GV Prakash and Divya as well.

Theni Eeswar cranked the camera for the romantic drama which has editing by San Lokesh. Siddhu Kumar scored background music for the film which has songs composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, AH Kaashif and GV Prakash Kumar. Munishkanth and Bagavathi Perumal played pivotal role in the film which had Mysskin in a cameo.

The movie's story revolved around a live-in couple whose life turns topsy-turvy after the girl becomes pregnant. They decide to split after the boy expresses his disinterest in becoming a parent.

What happens after the issue is taken to court forms the rest of the story. The technical aspects of the film were appreciated by the critics, but they didn't spare the slow-paced screenplay and a few underwritten characters.
