Filmmaker Siddique was admitted to a hospital in Kochi after he suffered a heart attack on Monday. Now the latest is that director Major Ravi has visited Siddique in the hospital as the latter continues to be under ECMO support. Ravi said that he couldn't visit Siddique earlier because he was in critical ICU and added that he enquired about his health condition with the hospital manager.

Speaking to the media about this, he said, "Siddique is currently in critical ICU because he has difficulties in breathing. As much as I gathered, he was shifted to the room 3 days earlier but had a heart attack, which worsened the condition."

Speaking about the relationship with Siddique, Major Ravi added, "I had seen him at a college function, 3 months back. At that time he had no major issues and was in good health. Doctors are in discussion with his family members and let us pray for his health."

Siddique was admitted to the hospital last month due to some liver disorders. The 69-year-old had a history of respiratory diseases earlier and the infection in the respiratory system worsened, and it later affected his liver. He was suggested to undergo a liver transplant but did not qualify because of the bad condition of his internal organs. Later the heart attack he suffered on Monday made his health condition poorer.

Siddique began his directing career as a co-director with Lal, and their debut film Ramji Rao Speaking brought about a signi ficant change in Malayalam cinema. The film was different from the other comedy movies, released at that time. Together, they directed several hit films like In Harihar Nagar, Godfather, and Vietnam Colony. Siddique would later split ways with Lal but continued to direct successful movies such as Hitler, Friends, Chronic Bachelor, Bodyguard, and King Liar. Unlike Lal, Siddique had the opportunity to work with big stars like Mammootty, Mohanlal, Salman Khan, and Vijay. He even directed the remakes of his films Friends and Bodyguard in other languages, which later became big hits in those industries.
