Mahima Chaudhry battles breast cancer, reveals in a heartwarming video by Anupam Kher

Pardes-star Mahima Chaudhry has been battling breast cancer. In a heartbreaking video posted by Anupam Kher on his social media handle on June 9, the actress revealed that she has been undergoing treatment for her ailment for which she lost her hair. In his post, Anupam wrote, ‘You are my Hero’.

In the video, Mahima explained how Anupam called her from America for a role in his film. “Surprisingly, after I lost my hair, I am getting a lot of calls for webseries and this and that. And I am like, ‘why am I getting calls now’,” she said in the video. She said it was Anupam’s America’s number and hence she thought it would be urgent. Anupam offered her a character and she said she had to wear a wig because of her treatment-induced hair loss. At this point, the actress broke down in tears and thanked Anupam for being a support. She also explained how she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Posting the clip featuring Mahima, Anupam wrote, “Story of @mahimachaudhry1‘s courage and Cancer: I called #MahimaChaudhry a month back from US to play a very important role in my 525th film #TheSignature. Our conversation turned to her discovering that she has #BreastCancer. What followed is in this candid conversation between us. Her attitude will give hope to so many women all over the world.
