A project bringing Kamal Haasan and Mahesh Narayanan together was almost confirmed a while ago. It's just a matter of time until an official announcement is made on the same. Mahesh, who is gearing up for the release of Fahadh Faasil-starrer Malayankunju, has penned the screenplay and cranked the camera for the movie.
In an interview to Indiaglitz, Mahesh, who was the editor of Kamal's Vishwaroopam, spoke briefly on his association with the Ulaganayagan and opened up on how the veteran actor-filmmaker influenced him in various ways.
He said, "My journey with him began in 2010. He used to discuss many scripts with me. I loved learning a lot from him; I enjoyed being an assistant to him while working on a few projects. In fact, he is the one who instilled guts in me to make Take Off and Malik."
Mahesh recollected how Kamal came up with various suggestions while the former hit a roadblock during the shooting of both the films. When Mahesh was clueless about shooting Take Off in Iraq, Kamal suggested he follow what he did to create Afghanistan in Chennai.
Similarly, the Mollywood filmmaker was a little confused while shooting a crucial sequence in Malik. Kamal advised him to rely on composite shots which came in handy for him. His upcoming movie with Kamal, according to him, is one of his dream projects. Mahesh said, "The script is ready and I'm really excited to work with him. All details pertaining to the project will be officially announced soon."
When quizzed him on the possibility of Fahadh playing a part in it, Mahesh said that it's too early to talk about it. However, he did not dismiss the idea completely.
