Mahesh Manjrekar says Antim’s release date clash with Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi is 'unavoidable'

As Akshay Kumar-starrer Sooryavanshi and Salman Khan’s Antim: The Final Truth prepare to hit the theatres, there is speculation on the films sharing the Diwali release date.

Speaking to ETimes about the reports on release, Antim director Mahesh Manjrekar said that the team has not yet confirmed a release date, yet avoiding the box office clash is a big challenge.

Since many films are lining up together for the release, the director seems to be finding it hard about their film’s launch. The action movie starring Salman Khan and Ayush Sharma is to be released in the month of November, but the actual date is not yet clear.

Manjrekar is of the opinion that clashes should not be feared, as there were many previous incidents proving both the clashed films worked well at the end. He further confirmed that the film will be released in November, but the clash is unavoidable. 

It was also rumoured that Khan is making a special appearance in the movie. Opposing the speculations, the director revealed that the actor has a full time role in the movie, which will definitely be a celebration for his fans. He also hinted that further surprises are on the way from Ayush and Salman.

Meanwhile, Sooryavanshi helmed by Rohit Shetty is the fourth installment to his Cop Universe. The movie has Kumar and Katrina Kaif playing the lead roles, while Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh will make cameos as their characters Singham and Simmba. The movie will be released on October 22, 2021.
