Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu made good on his word by watching Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan on its opening day. On Friday, he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express his thoughts on the latest movie. He praised director Atlee for delivering a massive entertainment package while expressing his admiration for SRK's ability to surpass his own collection records.

"#Jawan... Blockbuster cinema… @Atlee_dir delivers king size entertainment with the King himself!! Comes up with his career's best film… The aura, charisma and screen presence of @iamsrk are unmatched… He’s on fire here!! Jawan will break his own records… how cool is that!! Stuff of the legends (sic)," tweeted Mahesh Babu.

A day before the release of Jawan, Mahesh extended his wishes to SRK and the whole cast and crew. He revealed that he was looking forward to watching the movie with his entire family. Touched by Mahesh's nice gesture, SRK even offered to join him and his family for the screening. "Thank u so much my friend. Hope you enjoy the film. Let me know when you are watching I will come over and watch it with you. Love to you and the family. Big hug," SRK wrote to Mahesh.

Jawan received an earth-shattering opening

Jawan was SRK's second biggest release this year after Pathaan, which brought the much-needed respite to the Hindi film industry. Pathaan went on to earn over Rs 1000 crore in worldwide ticket sales. And Jawan is expected to overtake Pathaan's global earnings in record time.

According to reports, Jawan is expected to have collected a whopping Rs 100 crore from its worldwide ticket sales on Monday. And given that the word-of-mouth publicity for the movie is overwhelmingly positive and the critics have also given it rave reviews, the movie might gather more steam at the box office.

The trade expects Jawan will earn more than Rs 400 crore by the end of its opening weekend.
