Maharani is an upcoming comedy film, starring Roshan Mathew and Shine Tom Chacko. The film is directed by G Marthandan, who debuted with Mammootty’s Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus. The makers of Maharani have released a teaser of the movie, which promises a lighthearted entertainer.

Roshan Mathew and Shine Tom Chacko play brothers in Maharani

Going by the teaser, Shine and Roshan are playing siblings in the movie. The main plot revolves around their marriage, as hinted in the phone calls made. Johny Antony takes on their father’s role, while Nisha Sarang plays the mother. The teaser hasn’t given away much about the story. However, it promises a hilarious ride.

That said, some of the cuts in the teaser felt a bit awkward, while the background music was also not in sync. The teaser has a nostalgic feel for old Malayalam films, where a prospective marriage leads to complications and affects the characters’ love life. The scenes also resemble classic Malayalam comedies by directors like Priyadarshan.
