Rani Bharati, the Bihar politician played by Huma Qureshi, will return for a fourth season of Maharani. And get this: the actor's hometown of Delhi will be the location of several shoots for the hit series.
According to HT City, rumours say that the producers will be filming in some of the city's trendiest locations. Qureshi's schedule in Delhi will shortly be underway. Commencing on March 14, the actor will be present here with the crew. A source reports that they have finalised several locations throughout the city, such as Connaught Place, Purana Quila, and India Gate and are currently securing more. Expecting to stay here for the next fifteen to twenty days, the team has a packed agenda.
The recently released teaser from Sony LIV (OTTplay Premium) showcases Maharani's increased capability! Season 4 sees the return of Qureshi, who once again plays the courageous Rani Bharti with unparalleled ferocity. With a cast that includes an ignorant housewife, a chief minister who isn't afraid to shake things up, and a plethora of political intrigue, betrayals, and power battles, this season is poised to be the most riveting yet.
Over the course of its three seasons, Maharani has gone through three different directors: Karan Sharma for the first, Ravindra Gautam for the second, and Saurabh Bhave for the third. Qureshi's mesmerising performance as Rani Bharti, along with supporting actors Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Kani Kusruti, Inaamulhaq, and others, keeps the political drama going strong.
In 2003, CM Navin Kumar and his squad brutally assassinate Bheema Bharti and pin the blame on Rani. As a result, Rani spends three arduous years behind bars. Will Rani be able to show her son and the people of Bihar that she is innocent through her dogged pursuit of justice, which is complicated by her own personal and political agendas?
