Since its launch, Karthik Subbaraj’s Mahaan has been making audiences curious. The movie brings Kollywood star Vikram and his son Dhruv Vikram together on the screen for the first time. The latter is also a star in the industry, who has become a youth icon after his 2019 debut.
The team is all set to drop their track titled Missing Me? from the movie, which has instantly cheered up the fans. Preceding the release, a promo for the song has been out, which looks stylish and promising. It features Dhruv in an appealing look and with intriguing expressions. In collaboration with music composer Santhosh Narayanan, the song is penned by Dhruv and Vivek. Interestingly, Missing Me is sung by Dhruv as well. From the promo, it is safe to assume that the song will portray him reminiscing on the different emotions he has been through.
The young actor took the news to social media and shared the promo on his Instagram handle. Besides the video being a hit all around the internet, fans also expressed their happiness in the comment section. As the actor’s caption reads, “Missing Me?”, many of them agreed that they miss him on the screen. “Definitely, so divine, you look,” commented a fan.
Meanwhile, Mahaan will reportedly revolve around the journey of Gandhi Mahaan, who goes on to become the king of liquor in Tamil Nadu. Vikram essays the role, while Dhruv will be playing the role of his son. The storyline takes a turn when the latter questions his father’s illegal business. The rivalry of the father-son duo is expected to be the central idea of the plot.
Backed by S. Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio, Mahaan will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. It will also be released in Kannada under the title Maha Purusha.
The movie will be out on Amazon Prime Video on February 10, marking Vikram’s first direct OTT release.
