Nithiin fans keeping their eyes peeled for the Tollywood star’s upcoming thriller Maestro got a glimpse of the ride yet to come, with a sneak peek of the film being dropped on the Youtube channel of Disney+ Hotstar. The makers of the film had decided to opt out of a theatrical release owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, with Maestro making its way directly to the OTT platform. The film will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on September 17.
The upcoming black comedy thriller features Nithiin as a piano virtuoso, pretending to be visually impaired, who gets caught up in a precarious spot when he bears witness to a chilling murder.
The expertly put together short clip takes the viewer to a homey room in an apartment where we see Nithiin’s character immersed at playing a piece on the piano, his expert fingers flying over the keys of the piano, on top of which a framed photograph of musical legend Ilayaraja is also seen. His mesmerising performance, which even grabs the attention of a feline audience, is cut short when he discovers a key is defective, leaving him to sigh in frustration.
The sneak peek comes on the recent release of the film’s trailer, which got audiences pumped up for the Telugu thriller’s release. A remake of the Hindi film Andhadhun starring Tabu, Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte, Maestro features Merlapaka Gandhi in the director’s chair. In the film, Nithiin will share the screen with Tamannaah Bhatia, Nabha Natesh, Jisshu Sengupta and Naresh among others.
