The wait is finally over! The trailer for Made in Heaven 2 dropped on Tuesday, much to the fans' excitement. The series is returning with its second season after three long years, and the wait has been long. A grand trailer launch was held in Mumbai earlier today, where the creators Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti were asked about the long delay of Made in Heaven Season 2.

Talking about the same, Reema stated, "I think it was a combination of two things. One was that we did take our time with the writing because, I think, season one went down so well that we took our time to write season two because we wanted to up the level a bit. Also, COVID-19 did create a lot of chaos with the shooting schedule and the portion, but we are here now."

When asked about the reception the first season received over the years, Zoya shared, "Nobody knew how any of it was going to land. We were extremely nervous when it came out. Then it just picked up and picked up and picked up. It's got a very loyal fandom, and no matter what I post, I'm asked about Made in Heaven. Now that it's been so long and being trolled so hard and just wanting to drop, the show's fans are getting irritated, so it's going very well. I'm very thankful to them that they've held on to it. They haven't forgotten that."

On being asked what to expect from the upcoming season, the Gully Boy helmer added, "It has come with a very strong, protective sense for anyone that comes into their life and a very strong moral compass within the things going wrong around them in a way, and this is an extension of that. We also show the series through the lens of women and the LGBT community. So it's an expansion of that thematically. Basically, it's about trying to fit into society."

Made in Heaven Season 2 is premiering on Prime Video on August 10, 2023.
