Soubin Shahir’s Machante Maalakha, which released in theatres in February 20205, is gearing up to make its OTT premiere soon. The Malayalam film, which also stars Namitha Pramod and Dhyan Sreenivasan, will be available for streaming on Manorama Max soon. From plot to lead cast, here’s everything you need to know about Machante Maalakha before it makes its digital release.
Manorama Max has announced that Machante Maalakha, directed by Boban Samuel, will be available on the streaming platform soon. However, the OTT platform did not specify when the film would hit the digital space.

Like other movies on the platform, Machante Maalakha too will be available only in Malayalam with English subtitles.
Machante Maalakha did not win any favourable reviews from critics or audiences upon its theatrical release in February. It remains to be seen if the film attracts any viewers once it makes its digital premiere.
Led by Soubin Shahir, and Namitha Pramod, Machante Maalakha also features and Dileesh Pothan, Shanthi Krishna, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Lal Jose, KU Manoj and Sheelu Abraham.
The film is penned by Ajeesh P. Thomas, who had also earlier written the acclaimed Vikruthi which also starred Soubin Shahir along with Suraj Venjarammoodu. Ouseppachan has composed the songs and background score for Machante Maalakha.
Soubin Shahir appears as KSRTC bus Conductor Sajeevan who falls for a passenger named Bijimol (played by Namitha Pramod) after a series of quarrels. Though their love story leads to marriage, but their relationship is marred by issues.
Another February release, which is also slated to drop on Manorama Max soon, is Painkili, starring Sajin Gopu and Anaswara Rajan. But the OTT release date of Painkili is yet to be announced.
Directed by Sreejith Babu and penned by Jithu Madhavan, Painkili had garnered much attention even at the time of its announcement.
