When it comes to playing the perfect unde rdog, Sivakarthikeyan sure knows how to ace the game. In Maaveeran, Sivakarthikeyan shines as a cartoonist, who is too scared to take any risk. As he gets the superpower he transforms brilliantly into a part-superhero, who at the same time, doesn't lose his entire original identity. The film. His mere screen presence is enough to keep the audience engaged.

Madonne Ashwin is a director to watch out for
He bagged the National Award for his maiden venture, the social commentary, Mandela. And with his sophomore project, Madonne Ashwin proves that he can dabble both commercial and offbeat projects with ease. He offers a convincing film, which brings out the mass side of Sivakarthikeyan and has the audience glued to their seats until the last minute.

The ultimate combination of Madonne Ashwin and Yogi Babu
One of the highlights of Maaveeran is the presence of Yogi Babu, who is quite a show stealer. It's not often that one breaks into laughter every time an artiste appears on screen, even before he utters a dialogue. Madonne Ashwin sure knows how to make his maiden hero shine in every character and the actor, too, doesn't disappoint.

Mysskin's funny side is funnier
While one expected Mysskin to play a ruthless villain in Maaveeran, he also displays his comic side in the film. His comedy scenes and dialogues are so hilarious that one cannot get enough of the director-turned-actor. His scenes pack quite a punch and are thoroughly entertaining.
