Sivakarthikeyan has been shooting for director Ashwin Madonne's Maaveeran and the team recently seemed to have filmed a dance sequence along with 500 artistes. The song is said to be shot in a grand scale and Sivakarthikeyan dropped a picture from the set in which the makers are seen using the Mocobot camera to shoot the song. The choreography for the song is by Shobi Master. The BTS picture has piqued the curiosity among fans.

Interestingly, the Mocobot camera was used in films including Vijay's Beast and Kamal Haasan's Vikram. The cinematography for Maaveeran is by Vidhu Ayannna. Since it's been a while the team had provided any update from the set, this piece of information has come as a breather for fans.

In the meantime, the film is likely to hit screens in June. Aditi Shankar, who made her acting debut with director Muthaiya's Viruman, in which she teamed opposite Karthi, plays the leading lady in the film. The rest of the star cast includes Yogi Babu, Mysskin, Sunil, Saritha to name a few. The film will be released in Telugu as well as Mahaveerudu.

The team had recently celebrated 11 years of Sivakarthikeyan in the film industry by cutting a cake on the occasion. Maaveeran will be Sivakarthikeyan's first release in 2023 and the actor also has in his kitty the sci-fi flick Ayalaan and an untitled project with Rajkumar Periyasamy. Sai Pallavi will be playing the lead in it and the film will be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International.

Sivakarthikeyan's last outing Prince was a dampener at the box office. The film, which starred Ukraine model and actress Maria Ryaboshakpa, Sathyaraj, Premgi and Subbu Panchu, was helmed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu fame. Prince hit screens on the occasion of Diwali and bombed at the box office.
