Maamannan is one film which garnered immense craze among moviegoers ever since it was announced, thanks to the talented bunch of people collaborating together in it. The first look posters of the project were unveiled recently, leaving cinephiles overwhelmed.

Udhayanidhi, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh joining hands under Mari Selvaraj itself was enough for film lovers to wait for it. AR Rahman scoring music and Vadivelu playing an unusual character are icing on the cake. Moreover, this is officially the last film of producer-actor-politician Udhayanidhi as an actor.

The other day, the makers surprised many by announcing that Vadivelu will lend the voice for a song in the movie. The Vaigai Puyal crooned for a song in his recent outing Naai Sekar Returns as well under the composition of Santhosh Narayanan. This time around, fans are curious to know what Rahman has in store for him and movie buffs.

A new still from Maamannan is now out and is doing the rounds on social media. It features Udhayanidhi and Vadivelu, both sporting intense expressions. The former is seen in a stylish suit while the latter sports a white shirt and veshti with a salt and pepper hairstyle.

Vadivelu is said to be essaying the role of an unpredictable politician's role, something which he has never portrayed before. We got to know that Maamannan will touch upon politics in western districts of Tamil Nadu which includes Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Erode, Krishnagiri, Namakkal, Nilgiris, Salem and Tirupur.

It is known that Mari's films deal with undiluted politics in a realistic manner. After the successful Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan, film enthusiasts are eagerly waiting to know what the director is going to come up with this time around. The movie will hit screens in June.
