Ma Oori Polimera 2 opts for theatrical release before OTT, to hit screens on…

Ma Oori Polimera, the rural thriller centring on a murder mystery, black magic and occult practices, turned out to be a surprise hit with audiences, after it released directly on OTT via Disney+ Hotstar. The film, starring Satyam Rajesh, Dr. Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Getup Srinu, Baladitya turned out to be one among the most viewed titles on the streamer couple of years ago.

The core team of Ma Oori Polimera is reuniting for the film’s sequel as well. Apart from the aforementioned actors, Rakendu Mouli, Sahitya Dasari and Ravi Varma are part of the pivotal cast in Ma Oori Polimera 2. The film has story, screenplay and dialogues by Dr Anil Vishwanath and is bankrolled by Gowr Kriesna under Shree Krishna Creations.

Unlike the first part, which arrived on OTT before theatres, the second instalment will be hitting screens this November. The makers confirmed the release date of the much-awaited thriller today. “To know how Kavitha survived, stay calm and come to theatres this November 2. Let’s watch it in theatres this time. #MaOoriPolimera2 In Theaters from Nov 2nd!” the makers wrote.

Ma Oori Polimera 2 was extensively filmed on a lavish canvas in Paderu, Kerala and Uttarakhand. The director assured viewers the second part would be more gripping than the first, praising the performances of Satyam Rajesh and Kamakshi Bhaskarla. The producer added that the post-production formalities were progressing at a brisk pace. The OTT partner is yet to be announced.

Gyaani scores the music for the sequel while Khushender Ramesh Reddy is the cinematographer. Sri Vaara edited the film. Upendra Reddy Chanda is the art director and the stunt sequences are choreographed by Ram (master) NC Satish Kumar is the executive producer. The teaser of the film, released recently, received encouraging responses from netizens.
