Lucky Baskhar Teaser – Dulquer Salmaan is set to impress as an 'eligible' middle-class man in Venky Atluri’s next

Lucky Baskhar, the much-awaited period drama that features Dulquer Salmaan in the titular role, is now nearing the final stages of its production. The movie, helmed by Venky Atluri, has been simultaneously made in three languages - Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil. The cast and crew members dropped the much-awaited Lucky Baskhar teaser on social media today (April 11, 2024). The impressive teaser, which features Dulquer Salmaan in a middle-class man avatar, is now winning the internet.

The 1.19-minute-long teaser of Lucky Baskhar suggests that the period drama revolves around the titular character, who is a simple and hardworking young man from a middle-class family. “He is a common man. Common, middle-class, Indian man,” says the voiceover as Dulquer Salmaan’s Baskhar makes his entry into the Magadha Bank, where he works as a cashier. “He is more reliable, he is more eligible. He is the right choice for this bank,” further adds the voiceover, while the protagonist’s life turns upside down after he receives a massive amount of money out of the blue.

From the Lucky Baskhar teaser, it is safe to assume that Dulquer Salmaan and Venky Atluri are teaming up for a complete entertainer which is set in a different period. The pan-Indian star is set to impress his viewers yet again, by playing another unique character, which visibly has some grey shades, in the film. “It’s a middle-class mentality, sir. In difficult times, we spend less and save every penny. But, when a challenge comes, we spend everything without a second thought,’ says Baskhar, with an understated smirk on his face. Expectations are riding high on Lucky Baskhar, after the release of the promising teaser.

Meenakshi Chaudhary is set to play the female lead opposite Dulquer Salmaan, in the Venky Atluri directorial. The makers are yet to reveal the rest of the star cast of Lucky Baskhar, which is also set to get a dubbed release in Hindi. GV Prakash Kumar has composed songs and original scores for the project. Nimish Ravi is the director of photography. Navin Nooli handles the editing. The much-awaited project is jointly produced by the banners, Sithara Entertainments, and Fortune Four Cinemas.
