In a recent chat with ANI, Aamir Khan was seen showing love on Junaid and Khushi. He revealed that he has watched the rough cut of Loveyapa and called it 'very entertaining'. Aamir also claimed that he could see the late actress Sridevi in her daughter Khushi when he watched the film. Mr Perfectionist told the agency, "I liked this film, it is very entertaining. The way our lives have turned out these days due to mobile phones, and the interesting things that happen in our lives due to tech are shown in the film. All the actors have done a good job. When I watched the film and saw Khushi, I could see Sridevi in her. Her energy was there, I could see. I am a huge fan of Sridevi."
Aamir also said that he always wanted to work with Sridevi but it couldn't happen. He added, "I wanted to work with her. She was a brilliant artist. You cannot see her talent when the camera is off. When it starts rolling, Sridevi shows her true talent. She used to exhibit that spark, which I could see in Khushi."
In the same conversation, Junaid, who impressed the audience with his performance in Maharaja, expressed excitement about his first theatrical release. He said, "I am very excited. It's a very exciting film. I think this is a very new kind of role for me, very different from Maharaj - so, challenging for me as an actor I think. This is my first theatrical release."
Loveyapa is directed by Advait Chandan, who previously helmed Aamir and Kareena Kapoor Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha. The rom-com is set to hit theatres on February 7. It will lock horns with Himesh Reshammiya's Badass Ravi Kumar.
