Director Pradeep Ranganathan, who turned heads with his debut film Comali in 2019, is ready with his sophomore film. Titled Love Today, the movie is slated for a theatrical release on November 4. Interestingly, Pradeep himself is playing the lead in the project which is billed as a rom-com.
Ivana plays the female lead in Love Today which has Sathyaraj, Yogi Babu, Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena among others essaying crucial characters. AGS Entertainment has bankrolled the movie which revolves around the life of a young couple in their mid 20s.
They express their plans to get hitched to the girl's father. He disapproved of the relationship, but came up with a suggestion. He asked the couple to exchange their phones with each other for a few days. But little did they realize that it would lead them to fight like never before for even silly reasons.
The makers have now announced that Netflix has acquired the post-release digital rights of the movie. Love Today is expected to drop on the platform after a month of its release in theatres.
Dinesh Purushothaman and Pradeep E Ragav have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the movie which has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The songs and background score are expected to be highlights of the project which has dance choreography by Sandy and action choreography by Miracle Michael.
Love Today will have a clash with two Tamil movies on November 4. Ashok Selvan's romantic drama Nitham Oru Vaanam and Sundar C's multi-starrer rom-com Coffee With Kadhal will be hitting the screens on the same date.
