Love Today Day 1 Box Office: Pradeep Ranganathan, Ivana's rom-com grosses impressive numbers

Pradeep Ranganathan's Love Today, which hit the screens yesterday, has opened to positive response from critics and film lovers. The movie, which has the director himself playing the lead in it, has been promoted as a film for 2K kids. Its trailer evoked curiousity among the young audience which escalated the movie's expectations.

Unsurprisingly, the film drew a huge number of audiences across Tamil Nadu on its release day. They lapped up almost every scene of the movie's first half by whistling and clapping, thanks to the consecutive entertaining sequences. 

Love Today was released along with Coffee With Kadhal and Nitham Oru Vaanam, but the Pradeep-starrer has emerged as the clear winner in the box office battle. The movie has grossed around 4 crores from the state on its first day, which is huge for a debut hero. A few exhibitors took to social media pages to express excitement over the response for the project. 

Ivana plays the female lead in the movie which has Sathyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu and Raveena Ravi among others essaying key characters. The performance of all the actors, cinematography and background score have garnered unanimous positive response from cinephiles.

The trade is now looking forward to the numbers the film is poised to earn during Saturday and Sunday. With positive response from all quarters, Love Today is expected to gross more than 4 crores each on both the days on weekends.

AGS Entertainment has bankrolled the film which is Pradeep's second directorial movie after Comali which was released in 2019. Dinesh Purushothaman and Pradeep E Ragav have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the project which has Yuvan Shankar Raja composing music.
